I simply love this park! In more recent years, it has become cleaner and safer. Now, it has a very clean terrain and people actually clean up after their pets. It has good weather almost always, and it usually is not too crowded. I always go here to have a picnic or a lounge in the sun whenever I have a free day. There is sufficient space to play football or frisbee here, and I often find pick up games going on that people are welcome to join in on. The park is dog friendly, and the animals tend to be very nice. There is also a lovely children’s playground, which always seems to have children playing on it. The park has great location, and is practically in my backyard. I love living near it, and I would recommend to anyone who lives near by to check this place out!
The park is incredible! It is simply excellent for walks with friends,, dog walks, and really any other kind of walk that you can think of. It is also excellent for skating and cycling. People fly kites and play with remote vehicles all the time here, too. The park is very well kept, and clean. Basketball hoops for pickup matches are accessible to the public, and children’s playground is also very big. There always seems to be children hanging out, and I love it. The park itself is enormous, so it can provide an excellent source of exercise. You will need good footwear, though, and perhaps a light weather jacket because San Francisco can be unpredictable. In my opinion, this is a San Francisco quintessence park. It really shows off what San Francisco is about, and I love that it is so accessible. It is near many people’s houses, so it is a good place for families to come and bring their children. It isn’t exactly as known to the tourists either, so it is a nice sample of the real San Francisco. It crosses the heart of the town, and leads you to the Golden Gate Park from NOPA to Haight. Where else could you walk or cycle between the giants of Redwood, the Eucalyptus trees and enjoy the cool, oceanic breeze? This is a really neat park that people don’t always know about, but the people that do love it, and are always glad when they can stop by and just relax here.
