Rome

If you’re lucky enough to be traveling to Rome, be prepared to either shell out a lot of money for taxis or invest in a good pair of walking shoes! Why? This gorgeous city (with its unreliable transport system in comparison to the rest of Europe) is best viewed on foot!

As a large city, you can pick up cheap flights on all most European airlines for great prices. Consult your travel agent for Business Class tickets and discounted flights as there are plenty great deals!

There is just so much to see in Rome and it can be difficult knowing just where to begin, so why not start literally from the very beginning of time: 1st Century AD! The ancient Colosseum will take your breath away. When you purchase a ticket to see this masterpiece, you can also buy one that co-vers a visit to the Palatine and the Roman Forum, too.

Do not miss seeing the stunningly beautiful St Peter’s Basilica (which is ba-sically the Catholic church’s headquarters) and the Sistine Chapel. Other awe-inspiring sights are San Giovanni in Laterano and the Baroque church, Santa Maria della Vittoria.

After having a photo opportunity at the Trevi fountain, you will most likely be hungry! What better than to sample some delicious Italian food! This is not difficult to find as cafes and restaurants abound everywhere. Sample some authentic, thin crust Italian pizza or some hearty pasta (the way ma-ma makes it).

Roman architecture is incredible and, to view it in all its glory, take a stroll to one of the centro storico squares. The Pantheon, housing the tombs of famous Italian monarchs, is also another great example of Roman architec-ture at its finest, as is the Castel Sant’ Angelo which can be found along the River Tiber.
