Coit Tower
1 Telegraph Hill Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94133
Gorgeous views of the city and a workout! We walked a few blocks to Coit Tower after breakfast. The day was clear and the views were spectacular. If you walk, there are several stairs to climb, but it’s worth the short hike. Each window offers a different perspective of the San Francisco skyline. Inside the tower are beautiful murals that depict California’s history from different artist perspectives.
Such an incredible and gorgeous view of the city, the bridges, the city, the islands. Doubt that there is a better view of the entire city. Well worth the walk up. It is free to just look at the murals though, and no lines too. One of the places I always bring friends to when they visit SF. Be prepared to wait for a while till you get up there but the wait is worth it.
I walked here. It was very easy to find as you can see it from anywhere in the city! It was only $9 to go up in the tower. You could stay as long as you wanted. I didn’t have a wait and there were only a few people in the tower. I was there on a Tuesday afternoon that was overcast and I think early February is a low tourist season. I spent a long time with my nice camera up in the tower getting great shots. The murals at the base were pretty too. Recommend it!
It is always a delight to revisit this SF landmark! The murals are a must see and I love walking there from the Ferry Building especially using the route that takes you up the stairways and through some elaborate and beautiful private gardens (not for the weak hearted). Go when the elevator to the top of the tower is open ($6) as the 360 degree view of the City, the Bay and the Golden Gate is well worth it! If you feel like walking afterwards then a tour of North Beach and Little Italy is SF flavor at its most iconic.
Beautiful, panoramic views of San Francisco and the Bay. Lush landscaping and historic painted murals. The hill is a bit of a hike but Coit tower is well worth it. There is no better view of the entire city. It’s $9/person to get to the top but the elevator is air-conditioned.
