Chinatown San Francisco
Stockton St Tunnel, San Francisco, CA 94108
I really enjoyed Chinatown and wish we had more time to enjoy it. The restaurants and bars were amazing and the shopping was interesting to say the least, even if the shopping wasn’t for me. My wife enjoyed the stores though. I also loved the street art and took many photos. I look forward to returning and exploring it more.
I really loved walking here. It’s not that small, I went early so the sun was not a problem. In the market you find fruits and vegetables (some so exotic that I don’t even know what they were), crafts, seafood and meats, the typical duck, Chinese food restaurants, souvenirs and lucky cookies and more. It is full of urban art, pretty graffiti of dragons. The alleys are very nice, by chance we came across an alley in which there is a cookie factory, people are very kind.
We had a fun time walking around Chinatown. We saw some very interesting street art and it was a great place to people watch. Many stores to shop at and lots of food choices. Nice way to spend a few hours.
Shopping! Shopping! Shopping! How fun! You can find jade, kimonos, or simple t-shirts all on the same street. Or step into a tea tasting room and have tea blended to your personal needs and taste.
Don’t eat anything until you find the store with cooked ducks hanging in the windows. Once inside you will see that it is filled with local clientele. The food is better, simpler, larger portions, and much cheaper than other places. So many shops to see, so many hats to try on. You can’t plan enough time here, try to come back a couple of times on your visit to SF.
